ICNN NEWS Delhi July 18, 2023 : The University Grants Commission (UGC) has helped colleges and universities to create R&D Cells to improve research ecosystems. This move encourages research and innovation among students and professors nationwide.
On their website, the UGC provides detailed rules for R&D Cells. R&D Cell goals, functions, and resources are outlined in the guidelines.
Higher education institutions can create R&D Cells to allow students and professors to research, interact with industry, and improve knowledge and technology. These cells will spur innovation, multidisciplinary research, and social issues.
The UGC believes R&D Cells will improve universities’ research ratings and develop a research-oriented culture among students and teachers. It will also aid research application and national development.
Higher education institutions are advised to carefully evaluate the UGC guidelines and implement R&D Cells on campus. This project is expected to improve the research ecosystem and academic creativity, benefiting society.
